Helping Hands Health Services currently provides almost 100 individuals with mentoring services. Mentors help clients facilitate their academic and career goals, encourage/support skills learned in counseling, provide job training, help with resume building, and provide extra oversight to at-risk individuals. Mentoring can occur in an individual or group setting. Group mentoring sessions help clients acquire and practice valuable social skills. Additionally, group mentoring serves to provide clients with a sense of friendship and belonging.
